Scots College Hodge Sports Centre

The Hodge Sports Centre is a world-class indoor cricket training centre and a departure from the traditional building typology on the site. Designed to foster sporting development within the College and the wider community, the facility provides four all-weather cricket practice lanes designed to simulate ‘good cricket weather’ in a climate which is often notideal. 

The space can be configured in a number of ways, catering for professional cricket teams, a wide range of other sporting codes and PE classes, and opening up to the northern field when required. Curved glue-laminated timber ribs wrapped in a translucent polycarbonate cladding gives the interior a soft illuminated atmosphere in all daylight conditions, complimented by natural timber tones, the green of the turf and the natural ventilationstrategy.
